About This Item
New York: Charles Scribner's Sons. Near Fine in Near Fine dust jacket. 1978. First Edition. Hardcover. A first printing of a collection of four travel stories by author and illustrator Jan Adkins. The stories all share a theme of enjoyment of the great outdoors. Signed by author, with his drawing of a fountain pen, thus: "to David / from Jan / [drawing] / from a fellow inkfish" (an apparent reference to shared authors' vocations). --- In olive paper-covered boards backed in green cloth, with black spine titling. Jacket features Adkins composite drawing of four travelers. --- An excellent, tightly-bound copy though with a hint of sunning to edges of covers. Unclipped ($6.95) dust jacket with small creases to lower rear panel, otherwise lacks damages and is wrapped in removable archival mylar protector.; Octavo - 8 to 9 in. tall; 95 pages; Signed by Author .
