Sauk City, WI: Mycroft and Moran, 1968. Limited Edition. Octavo. 131 pages. Jaffrey #110 states only 3493 copies printed. Colophon states 3500. An investigation into the death of Jonas Fairlie who was murdered while on a trip to consult Solar Pons. In order to solve the mystery, Pons and Parker travel to Scotland and to a remote area on the coast of Wales. Jaffrey notes: "This book was the climax, if not the best, of the Solar Pons pastiches. Derleth wrote and published the only novel length adventure about Solar Pons. A fine copy bound in black cloth, spine lettering gilt, in near fine pictorial dust jacket lettered and decorated in red and black by Frank Utpatel, spine lettering black, some toning to spine. A lovely copy.
