Long considered the definitive history of "Mr. Jefferson's University,'' himself a UVa graduate from a long line of other alumni. Orig. published in 1981, this is the Second Printing of that First Edition from 1983, in 642 pages, pictorial endpapers of the Lawn, well-illustrated throughout. Hardcover small 4to (6.25" x 9.75") has blue cloth-covered boards lettered in gilt to spine. Condition is VG+: completely clean & unmarked inside with slight dust dulling & a few mild smudges to outside page edges. Binding strong & straight, hinges secure, pages creamy white. A hint of rubbing to extremities. The unclipped DJ is also VG+: colorful & bright with a small chip to head of spine, tiny tear at heel, else very minor edgewear; nicely protected in new mylar cover Free!
