Black and white photographs and colour illustrations throughout. Binding is shaky, plate to page 740 detached but still present. Pages and illustrations are lightly tanned throughout. Water staining to some page edges, text remains unaffected. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Splits to spine ends causing cloth to be frayed. Scratches to both boards.

Plus numerous b/w reproductions of photographs of actors in costume. Fine binding, full read morocco leather with gilt and blind-stamped decoration to cover with W. S. initials. Raised bands to spine. Inner and outer dentelles. Marbled end-papers. All edges gilt. 8vo. (220x160mm) [xxxviii] 1085pp. Rubbing to edges of spine and corners. Very light, occasional spotting within.
