Philadelphia and New York: J.B. Lippincott Company, 1957. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. Condition of the book is Very Good. Some shelf wear with slightly bumped corners and light edgewear, but binding is tight and the pages are slightly tanned on the edges but all clean and bright with no markings inside except for previous owner's name stamped inside front cover, back cover and on title page with handwritten date it was acquired. Dust jacket has a 1/4 inch tear at either end of the spine and rubbing along all edges. It is price clipped but there is little fading and the primary color on the cover of yellow is still bright. The spine strip has light blue cloth with green lettering and small yellow dots on either side of the title. The boards have vertical, pastel stripes in light blue, yellow and green. The spine is broken inside the front endpapers but before the title page however the binding is still tight throughout with no loose pages. This is a Third Printing of the first edition as indicated on the inside front cover and Third Impression Copyright 1957 from back of the title page.

Because she loved books, loved working with people, and wanted to combine the two, she called her new store Book People. In 1986, Erb moved the store to Granite Avenue in the Westhampton part of Richmond, where it did a brisk business. Former store employee David Shuman purchased Book People from Erb in 2018, and he has recently relocated the store to larger quarters in the Gleneagles shopping center in western Henrico.
