London, printed for M.J. Godwin at the Juvenile Library no. 41 Skinner-Street, 1809.. FIRST EDITION 1809. WITH THE RARE 2 LEAVES OF ADVERTS AT REAR WHICH ARE OFTEN MISSING. 12mo, approximately 170 x 100 mm, 6½ x 4 inches, engraved frontispiece, pages: viii, 9-179, followed by 5 pages of adverts, bound in full crushed green morocco by F. Bedford (his name on first pastedown), gilt lettering and floral decoration to spine, triple gilt rules to edges of covers, gilt dentelles, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. Spine evenly faded, tip of top corner of title page professionally repaired, pale age-browning to a few pages, slightest soiling to margin edges of title and following page (see attached images), pale offset to title page from engraving, a very good attractive copy, with the scarce extra 2 advertisement leaves at end often missing.
