Glazed green cloth boards, title stamped in cream beneath a simple stamped illustration of a woman in red with a farm scene silhouetted by a cream skyline, untrimmed. Spine slightly askew, minor fraying to the edges of the backstrip, internally bright; very good. § Early printing of the first edition of the author’s first book. In the shanty town called the Cabbage Patch, Mrs. Wiggs scrabbles for survival with her brood of children and hopes for the return of her husband, who left many years before. OCLC: 2486364.
