Very good in quarter blue cloth with yellow boards, cloth with two sites of insect damage, some shelf wear and foxing to edges of text block and very good pictorial dust jacket with some insect damage on spine.. Octavo. 6.25 x 9.5 in. 374 pp. Occasionally illustrated in black & white. "A 'mud show' is what circus people call a medium-sized tented circus that tours from town to town. Fred Powledge's book follows such a show, the Hoxie Brothers Circus, for its full 1974 season." Signed on the front free endpaper by author Powledge, the book's dedicatee circus owner Hoxie Tucker, and John R. Hall, who took over managing the Hoxie Bros. circus in the 1970's.
