London: University of London Press, 1953. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Fair. The interior of the book is clean and crisp with just a few signs of previous use. The text has black-and-white illustrations throughout and four full-page color plates including frontispiece. The front and back end pages feature "A Map of the Garden". The protective paper on the front hinge has cracked, but the binind remains firm. The half title page has an inscription (May 1956). to a former owner. The edges of the text block have darkened slightly. The beige covers are clean and bright with light wear only. The jacket is only in Fair condition with light general use, but heavier wear and paper missing from the top and bottom of the spine. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: Muffin the Mule was a popular feature on the BBC's "Children's Hour.
