Chicago: Rand McNally & Co., 1908. Pictorial paper-covered boards, red cloth spine, 79 numbered pages. All pictures mentioned in "A Word About the Pictures" list accounted for. Faded on ends of spine, boards worn on corners, rubbed along lower edge of boards. Cracked at title page, pages 17, 32, 48 and at last page, binding loose but pages intact. Page 65 torn in L-shape (3.5 inch long x 2 inch across) at lower edge, stained (2.5 inch) along edge either side of lower corner on pages 65 through 74, tear (1/8 inch) and piece folded back at fore edge on page 69. Bookstore sticker on rear paste-down and outline from sticker on opposite page. Pages thumbed but pictures bright and delightful. Overall, good. Brown DJ missing whole rear portion and spine: paper brittle and ragged around edges, front portion illustrated with charming drawing in brown of girl holding cookie away from goose. Overall, poor. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Poor. Illus. by Dunlap, Hope. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
