¶ A scientist discovers a chemical formula to render matter invisible and uses this secret in an attempt to rule the world. Elements from this book were combined with the H.G. Wells' novel for the screenplay of the classic Claude Rains film THE INVISIBLE MAN [1933]. Facsimile reprint of the text from the edition published by A.L. Burt, circa 1931 (the book was first issued by Farrar & Rnehart in 1931). Issued as a volume in the publisher's "Classics of Science Fiction" series. Note: Hyperion paperbacks are quality books, properly printed and bound, not cheap modern print-on-demand editions.
