Ex-Wigan Public Libraries with their stamp embossed on title page, advertisement page, contents page and first page of text and rubber stamp on reverse of title page. Rebound and with shelf label on spine. Otherwise acceptable for age in somewhat bumped and marked boards. No dustjacket. Title page partly detached and tape reinforced. Several other pages tape reinforced, without loss of text. A previous owner has noted in pencil on the front endpaper that the frontispiece is missing.
