Beautiful 1822 celebration of the French theatre in all its variety, with 12 gorgeous full-page, handcolored plates (and accompanying tissue guards) complementing the text. Well-preserved and VG in its half-cloth (dark green) over decorative marbled boards. Also lightly-nicked original leather title label at spine. Text is very clean, with minimal foxing and no writing or markings of any kind. 64mo, 180 pgs. plus wonderful French calendar for 1822.
