About This Item

Jackson, Son & Company, Glasgow., 1942. First edition. Octavo. Wrappers. 28 pages. From the library of George ''Dadie'' Rylands with his very faintly pencilled ownership signature on the front wrapper and his bookplate inside. On the half-title page is the following inscription: ''Dadie from Mary in remembrance of the sensitive revealing production of 'The Family Reunion' A.D.C. 10th February 1943''. It is not known who ''Mary'' might be, but she is referring to Rylands' Cambridge production of the Eliot verse drama which the author is said to have much preferred to its West End version. Rylands has marked a number of passages in the text in pencil. Some creasing to covers. Very good.
