Boston, MA: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1918. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Brenda, W. T.. First Printing. xiii [i], 418 [419] pp. 8vo. Brown cloth boards with warm orange titling to cover and spine. Slight sunning to spine, general wear overall, bumping to corners including harder compression bump to the front boards lower right corner, minor fraying to head and foot of spine. Interior quite clean with previous owner's name in blue ink on first free endpaper as well as a heavy erasure mark and a small loss at upper right corner of leaf, "Peabody Book Shop, Baltimore" bookseller's label at base of front pastedown near gutter. Contains first state printing of illustrations by W. T. Brenda on glossy stock.

Synopsis

My Ántonia (first published 1918) is considered one of the greatest novels by American writer Willa Cather. My Ántonia — pronounced with the accent on the first syllable of "Ántonia" — is the final book of the "prairie trilogy" of novels by Cather, the other two being O Pioneers! and The Song of the Lark.
