About This Item
New York; (1971): Abelard-Schuman. First Edition. Octavo. 160 pages, illustrated by Stephen-John, signed by Kent Frost who has given us an intimate look at the Canyonlands National Park in southeastern Utah. The first part of the book recalls the stories and personalities of Frost's youth in the 1930s; the record describes his adventures as a guide and explorer. Frost has lived in numerous Mormon communities in the Utah- Arizona country, and made a number of trips on the San Juan, Colorado, and Green rivers. A map of the Canyonlands Park and sketches by Stephen John illustrated the text. A fine copy bound in yellow cloth, spine lettering blue, endpapers are maps, in a fine unclipped pictorial dust jacket.
