Printed in an edition of 650 copies for members of the Book Club of California by John Henry Nash. This copy with typed letter from Book Club secretary Oscar Lewis presenting this keepsake. Originally pubished in Scribner's Magazine, August 1873, then reprinted in the volume "Bits of Travel at Home by H. H." in 1878. Helen Hunt Jackson ("H. H") is best remembered for her novel "Ramona."
