Princeton: D. Van Nostrand Company, Inc., 1961. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/fair. Red cloth hardcover with gilt titles and cover illustration, stated first edition, in dustjacket. A very good copy with minimal edge-wear and some crimping at the spine tips. Previous owner's name to the top of the front endpaper is the only marking. Clean, tight, and straight. Jacket with $4.95 price point intact is not nearly as good - fair with short tears at the top and bottom edges, paper loss at the spine panel ends and folds. 117 pp., indexed, some black and white illustrations and photos. Frequently reissued, this is the classic first edition.
