In My Garden is & charming narrative, making many love stories into one. Margot Evans, the main character, lived in an apartment house in New York with other working girls like herself. Her roommate, a stenographer, was Jane Alden. Margot, in the first chapter, has left New York and gone to England to visit an old schoolmate. Elizabeth, who lives in England, has been begging her for some time. It is a vacation trip, to see Beth, and also to get new ideas for her work. She has contracted to paint some pictures for English novels. Margot is a commercial artist and a painter of pictures-an illustrator. The action moves fast and covers men characters as well as women. If you like flowers you will love the book, In My Garden. The philosophy of the book is not bad-It is a clean and wholesome story with plenty of imagination-GOOD for both men and women, young, and old.
