New York: Farrar Straus Giroux (1980), 1980. First American edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo. [12], 4-338, [2] pp. Black cloth with gold lettering and blue decorations on the spine. Orange endpapers and pastedowns. Price of $12.95 on the front flap of the jacket. Inscribed with personalization by Isherwood on the free front endpaper, inscription dated Sep. 13 1980. Isherwood's biography of Swami Prabhavananda, a spiritual mentor to the author. A small concavity to the spine, three small dampspots on the rear board; jacket with a crease to each flap and light edge wear on its spine panel.
