Covers clean, colors bright, no reading creases at spine, minor display indications. Story of the high school basketball coach, Arnold Ryan, in the small town of Puxico, Missouri whose teams would bring change to the American game of basketball. Ryan's 1951 Puxico Indians were one of the most powerful and provocative teams ever to play the game. He and his players transcended sports to embrace the higher instinct in us all, a source of pride for a community and confirmation of its rural values [St. Louis Post-Dispatch and St. Louis Globe-Democrat].
