New York: Forest and Stream Publishing Co, 1905. First Edition. Hardcover. G+ (Moderate edge and corner wear to binding; ownership stamp at base of title-page. p. 15 has edgewear alone; otherwise pages are clean.). Crimson cloth, gilt letters on spine & front cover, BW portrait inset in front cover, 244 pp., 8 BW illus. A memoir of the Old West by mountaineer William T. Hamilton. Title page claims "with eight full-page illustrations by Charles M. Russell;" but the plate of Washakie, Chief of the Snakes is undeniably a photograph, and the frontispiece of Hamilton is likely a photo as well. Nevertheless, the remaining 6 drawings are by Charles M. Russell (1864-1926), artist of the American West. Note that this is a First Edition and not a reprint or a facsmilie.
