UsedAcceptable. Scarce title. Includes an ""aside"" (preface) by Bernard Shaw. Likely first edition - copyright date 1933 with no later printings listed. Red cloth boards, no DJ. Cover and spine scuffed and shelfworn with age. Bottom edge of spine noticeably crushed, but all binding remains intact. Spine cracked. Page possibly missing after p.162 - no gap in page numbering but possible remants of b/w illustration page attached to binding. Front and rear endpapers heavily stained and marked. Text clean with no underlining or highlighting. Good reading copy of rare title.
