NY: Doubleday Doran. VG book, VG DJ. Very bright wrap around DJ. 8"x5",305pp.. 1939. 1st edition. Hardcover. VG book, VG DJ(in Brodart). Orange cloth with dark brown lettering. Tight, book stays closed when stood on its spine. . Frontis has lightly foxed the tp, which also states "special edition". Book flaws: (1) rear inner hinge paper cracked, hinge still sound, (2) glue browned pastedowns & (3) fore & upper text block edges foxed. Else a flawless book, no (other) foxing, aging, marginalia, etc. ALSO book stays closed when stood on its spine, so, if read, read wih care. Attractive wrap around DJ, whose spine is very slightly faded. All flap corners very uniformly clipped, suspect there never was a price. Minor edgewear, few up to 1/4" chips & tears. .
