About This Item
1931 hardcover as pictured. Despite the lurid title, this is essentially a work of nonfiction, describing cases of human developmental malformations, birth defects and growth disorders as understood in mid twentieth century. Binding is firm. Red cloth boards with black stamping on spine are lightly stained and faded over spine with only minimal edge wear. Endpapers are mottled. Text is tanned with some pages foxed. Includes over 70 halftone and line illustrations, one of which (the frontispiece) has been lost. No dust jacket. Your purchase helps support our small village library. s OF4
