Philadelphia: John C. Winston Company. Good+ in Good dust jacket. 1953. First Edition. Hardcover. 201 p. 22 cm. Sound and square binding in lime green cloth-covered boards with black, stamped spine titles. Stains to both boards, more visible in certain light. Small area of foxing in the front hinge. Corners have light wear with two lightly bumped. Text block edges lightly tanned. Both inside hinges are very slightly darkened. Previous owner's name and address in pencil on back side of the front free endpaper. The inside pages are clean and unmarked. Dustjacket has chips, short tears, and creases; with largest chip being 2 x 1" on spine tail. paper loss along the full width of the rear top edge and a 1 x 1.25" chip on the bottom rear edge. The front flap fold and spine have been reinforced with cello tape on the reverse side. Worn at corners and along folds with some small holes. Rubbed with scratches. The reverse side of the jacket is tanned. Price clipped. A title in the Winston Science Fiction series for juvenile readers. Jacket designed by Kenneth Fagg and endpapers designed by Alex Schomburg. .
