The text is illustrated both in colour and black-and-white drawings – the coloured plates have been drawn by Cheryl Yambrach Rose; And the black-and-white line drawings within the text have been produced by Rachel Caldecott-Thornton. Colour illustrated paperback binding with gold, green and white coloured titles to the front panel and golden blue coloured titles to the back strip. The author and the artists have travelled the world to find mythical journeys and sacred quests; then using the core myth the author writes a story incorporating the myth and at the end of each story there is a commentary about the same. Each story has a coloured plate to illustrate along with some black-and-white line drawings. Creasing of the book corners with rubbing of the book edges and panels.
