New York: William Morrow and Company. Near Fine in Very Good+ dj. 1970. 3rd printing. Hardcover. (price-clipped) [very light shelfwear to bottom edge and corners, generally a nice solid copy; jacket is very clean, with just a little wear and some minor wrinkling along the top edge, a touch of dog-earing at top of spine]. INSCRIBED and SIGNED by the author on the ffep: "For ___ -- / with admiration / and affection -- / Sidney Sheldon / Sept 22, 1972." The successful screenwriter/playwright's first novel, which launched him on a whole new career as a bestselling author. (Who said there were no second acts?) Adapted into a mediocre film in 1985. Signed by Author .
