Bound in blind-tooled calf, gilt spine rules and lettering, sprinkled edges; corners scuffed, front joint separated, threads holding. 5.75" x 3.75" Presentation copy, inscribed on the blank flyleaf: "Presented to Mrs. J.E. Breyer, with Compliments of the Author / St. Clairsville, O---, Feb 18th, 1861." [American Imprints 18967].
