Black leather title label gilt. original spine remounted. 338 pp with fold out map frontispiece. Published same year as the 1st edition. One of the fundamental books on Arctic exploration. This expedition commanded by Captain George Back went in search of Captain John Ross and involved a journey of 7500 miles, some of which was previously uncharted. Sporadic foxing throughout but still a very sharp copy.
