Original pebbled cloth boards show some mild sunning, scattered light foxing. Arctic Bibliography 9945 (referring to the 1830 Edinburgh edition): Contains chapters on the climate of polar regions, the animal and vegetable life, ancient voyages to the north, voyages in search of the Northeast and Northwest Passages and the North Pole....Chronicle of broad scope and appeal intended "to exhibit a complete and connected view of successive voyages to the arctic regions" to the time of publication.
