London: Printed for S. Baker, G. Leigh and T. Davies, 1768. Book. Very good- condition. Hardcover. Second edition. Octavo (8vo). [ii], viii, 257 pages of text. Hardcover binding; dark green cloth spine with hand-lettered title label, with marbled paper-covered boards. Rear board is starting to detach. Binding is rubbed at the extremities, with moderate shelfwear, including darkening and fraying of spine. Ilustrated with a frontis depicting the scene of a shipwreck. Text is slightly shaken, with several loosened pages. Minor foxing scattered throughout text, and one page with small tear in the margin (no loss). Previous owner's bookplate on front endpaper "Henry G. Lermitte." Sabin 9730 "Admiral Byron's narrative of the loss of the Wager is one of the most thrilling accounts in the language, and supplied his illustrious descendants with many particulars for the shipwreck in "Don Juan."
