London: John Hearne, 1850. 4th Edition . Very Good Minus. 5.75 x 8.75 inches (14 x 22 cm). Full green calf leather binding. Spine ornately decorated in gilt, with five raised bands and red morocco title label. Boards with double gilt filet border, gilt decorated board edges, blind tooled turn-ins. Marbled page edges and endpapers. Fading to spine. A few small marks to boards, small tear to top of rear board with an old repair. Good solid binding with no cracking to joints. Light browning to pages. Foxing to several of the plates, also affecting facing pages. Gift inscription to leading blank (on leaving Eton, 1862). Recent owner's bookplate to front free endpaper. Large fold-out map to rear in very good condition. Overall condition is Very Good Minus. Size: 5.75 x 8.75 inches (14 x 22 cm). Hardback. Printed pages: xii, 451
