Bound in contemporary cloth boards with spine label titles present to the spine. Boards have light shelf-wear present to the extremities. Foxing present. Front map is torn but present. No ownership marks present. Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. Lieutenant-General Charles William Vane recounts the military operations of the Napoleonic Wars in 1813 and 1814, with a folding map to the front of the text. Charles Vane, 3rd Marquess of Londonderry (1778-1854) was an Anglo-Irish nobleman, soldier, and politician. He was the calvary commander in the Peninsular War under John Moore and the Duke of Wellington. E-350; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
