About This Item

New York: Alfred A. Knopf. Fine in Near Fine dj. 2004. First Edition. Hardcover. [very nice copy, virtually as-new, with no discernible wear to the book itself; the jacket has just a touch of soiling to the rear panel]. (B&W photographs) SIGNED by the author (no inscription) on the title page. A heartfelt and very personal biography of one of Hollywood's most luminous actresses, a star since childhood (MIRACLE ON 34TH ST., etc.) and someone that America literally watched grow up on screen. The author's long friendship with Wood began when she starred as the title character in the 1965 film INSIDE DAISY CLOVER, based on Lambert's novel of the same name, and lasted until her untimely accidental death in 1981 at the age of 43. Signed by Author .
