No additional printings. In the publisher's fine dust jacket, retail price on front flap. Inscribed on the title page: "To Cyrus Vance - devotedly - and with the deepest gratitude. Gidon." Vance's peace efforts in Bosnia, while part of the United Nations Special Envoy with Lord David Owen, feature heavily in this work. Cyrus Vance (1917-2002) served as the Secretary of State for President Jimmy Carter from 1977-1980. He previously served as Secretary of the Army during the Kennedy Administration, then Deputy Secretary of Defense in the Johnson Administration. He is the father of New York District Attorney Cyrus Vance, Jr.
