Handling smudgies and small unknown spots on covers. Most of this issue deals with Northern California and includes lots of color photos. Also California 85 years after the Gold Rush. In the story about bridges, b/w photos show the building of the Golden Gate Bridge . Also 2 articles on Spain with one showing the fashions of Old Spain including gypsies. Native American information in the California articles about the Poma, also showing map of whites chasing Indians and discover Yosemite Valley, etc. Also how the redwoods were exploited. Also lots of b/w photos. Truely a very good reference book for many ways of life that are either no longer around or have changed to accomodate today's world.
