Brooklyn, New York: The National Book Club, 1954. This book of "close to 10,000" miniature black and white pictures was intended for use by puzzle contestants. "This book is intended to serve as a library of ... pictured objects so frequently presented in large national puzzle contests." Pages 213-224 display sample tie-breaking puzzles. Cardboard covers creased, smudged, vertical tear (3 inch) on front at top of spine, rubbed along edges and on corners, corners dog-eared. Red colour from covers has bled into the front and rear pages, occasional picture circled in pencil, else pages clean and stapled binding firm. Overall, good plus.. First Edition. Soft Cover. Good Plus/No DJ. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
