London, D. Bogue, 1847 (2nd). Small hardback, 5.25 x 3.5 inches. Halfbound polished red morocco leather fine binding by “Morrell.” Gilt line paneled and marbled boards, raised banding to spine with gilt lettering and decorations. Top page edges gilt, marbled endpapers. In very good condition. Some minor darkening and rubbing to edges. A couple of small spots to endpapers else clean, no inscriptions. Illustrated cover at front darkened with some rubbing. Some minor handling marks to inside pages; leading edges with some minor water stains, one large stain to edge of p45-6. Else a very good clean and tight copy. 112pp + 14pp adverts at rear. Illustrated with a B&W frontis and woodcut vignettes throughout text. Bound with original illustrated paper covers at front and rear.
