With 48 full-page plates (174 figures), additional to the pagination, and 16 text illustrations and a map (folding map showing the distribution of the Great Alpine Ranges). First Edition. A small ownership inscription at head of front free endpaper. Head and foot of spine lightly rubbed; corners of boards rubbed; lower edges of boards lightly rubbed from shelving; some light rubbing to the boards; a touch of foxing to the fore edge; a very good, and internally about fine, copy.
