Dark blue calf spines and corners, with gilt letterd red leather labels on two spine compartments, remaing four gilt embellished. Marbled papered boards. Marbled endpapers. Volume one : The Mammalia, 1865, vii, 800 pages. Volume two; Birds, 1867 [vi] 786 pages. Volume three :. Reptiles, Fishes, Molluscs. Undated, Preface dated 1863, mentioning the previous two volumes, [vi] 810 pages. Alll three volumes are illustrated with wood engravings with designs by Wolf, Zwecker, Weir, Coleman, Wood, Neale, Harvey, etc. Engraved by the Brothers Dalziel. 7.25 X 10.25 inches. All three volumes are rubbed and scuffed with some wear to the leather at the spine ends and corners, Some cracking at the joints to volumes one and two, voume one rear inside hinge is reinforced with binders tape, Boards alll fairly firm. A good set. Heavy as a 3 volumes set, and will require additional postage over the default quoted cost.. Reprint. Half Leather. Good/No Jacket.
