Very Good +. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 400pp w index. 71 indexed, unpaginated illustrations on 32 plates including frontis, 40 indexed sketches by the author. Prev owner name inked on front pastedown. Top edge of textblock dyed green. Green cloth w blindstamp borders on covers, gold lettering on spine. Binding lightly rounded, joints and hinges sound. Octavo. Originally published as Das Antlitz Brasiliens, (R. Voigtlanders Verlag, Leipzig, in 1927) and translated from the German by Bernard Miall.
