First Edition; Demy 8vo; pp. xx, 536; chromolithograph frontispiece (Forbes' Honeyeater), numerous text illustrations, seven maps five of which are folding, appendix, index, quarter red leather, raised bands, title lettered in gilt on spine, all page edges marbled, new endpapers, otherwise a good tight copy. The Author travelled from Keeling Islands through Indonesia, he visits Java, South-Sumatra, the Moluccas, Timor, Tanimbar Islands and New Guinea.
