Oblong quarto, first edition, pp. 376, blue cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine, gilt lettering and anchor on front, gravures of fighting ships of the World War II vintage, from nations all over the world, former owner's name on free front endpaper. Unusual survival of the dust jacket. Condition of this book: Dust jacket lightly soiled with chips and short tears at edges. Covers faded, discolored in spots. Internally clean and tight, text leaves age toned. Size: Quarto. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting.
