With the code "23L" on page 187 indicating this is the first hardcover edition published by the Book Club. Signed by the author Brian W. Aldiss on the title page. From the collection of Canadian author/literary impresario Greg Gatenby and with his signature on the front free endpaper. Bump to spine extremities and corners. Ink from covers has bled onto page edges at front and rear of book. Pin pricks to front cover and near base of first several pages. Surface and edgewear to dust jacket with one creased corner and tear. Brian W. Aldiss (1925- 2017) was a British writer best known for his works of science fiction.
