Otherwise, pages bright and clean and free of marking, soiling and staining. Bound in publisher's red cloth with title and scene looking through the doors of the church to interior on front cover in gilt. Remnants of dust jacket consisting of the front and back covers, but with flaps and spine excised, included. A very good first edition of the colorful history of the famous Episcopal parish near Washington, D.C., of which George Washington was once vestry member.
