The lyrics to this beginning of this song read as follows: "I come from de Alabama, My Massa deal in Meal, And own'd a pretty yallar Gal, Her Name was Lucy Neal. She'd dance de Night long wid us, Being bery light of Heel, And dat's what make me Fell in lub, Wid my dear Lucy Neal!" Although the song "Lucy Neal" was published in multiple versions, as of January 2021 it appears that there are no North American institutional holdings of this edition.
