Good. <p>First edition.<p>In his Preface, Staff Sergeant Spencer Logan writes: "This book is about my belief in America and my faith in the willingness of her people to accept the moral obligations of a democratic way of life....The Negro...wants to give of his best to the future of his country and to add his racial industry to the welfare of all. America has long accepted these gifts as a matter of course. I believe that now she is groping for some way to give to the Negro greater economic security and his just rights as a citizen."
