About This Item
Francofurti ad Moenum (Frankfurt), 1618. MOST COMPLETE EDITION of this seminal book on German law (written with Charles V) by Georg Remus, Vice Chancellor of University of Altdorf. 6 leaves, 136 pp. 4to. Bound in contemporary stamped vellum, all edges gilt. Binding somewhat soiled and a bit warped, but structurally sound. Internally darkened, as with all copies, because of type of paper used, but pages not at all brittle. A very rare and important book.
