NY: Harper & Brothers. Good+ with no dust jacket. 1912. First Edition. Hardcover. Original cloth gilt, pictorial onlay. Published October, 1912. Inscribed to the ffep by Beach "to Mr. John S. Mayfield. " Mayfield (1904-1983) was an author, bibliophile, and son of US Senator Earle B. Mayfield. He wrote "Eugene O'Neill and The Senator from Texas." Mayfield has pencilled a note to the rear endpage "Inscribed by the author and returned to me today. 22 February 1942. JSM." Laid in is a typed paper on Mayfield letterhead with a bibliographic entry of the book. Mayfield has also inked his name to fep. Cloth rubbed, corners bumped, front hinge mildly starting. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; Signed by Author .
